COVID-19: Procedures & Policies for Your Safety

We have been working very hard to prepare for in clinic visits again and would like to share with you the new policies that will be in place going forward under the Provincial Health Officers recommendations. Please read through prior to your appointment, and scroll below to see what your appointment will look like.

What We’re Doing to Keep Everyone Safe

Forms to sign

On the day of your appointment, we will require you to fill out an online Screening Questionnaire. This form ensures you are an appropriate candidate for in person care and are comfortable with the risks associated with an in person appointment. You will not be able to receive treatment until the screening process is completed.

Masks

All clients who enter our space are required to be wearing a mask. We ask that you bring your own masks to your appointment. A bandana covering your face is also acceptable. When you enter the clinic, please ensure that your mask is on.  Our office will have some supplies on site, but we are limited in quantities so please bring your own.

Arriving at the Clinic

When you arrive at the clinic, please wait outside the clinic or in your vehicle until the time of your appointment. In the case that there is a delay for your appointment start time we will contact you by phone to notify you of this and then call you again when we are ready for you to enter the clinic. Please be sure to provide our administrative team your cell phone number when booking.

Personal Items

Please leave all personal items (including jackets, water bottles, coffee cups etc) in your vehicle.

Others in Your Appointment

No one will be allowed to accompany you to your appointment unless you are under the age of 16 and require a parent/guardian, OR you would typically have an assistant with you for safety or mobility concerns. If someone will be accompanying you to your appointment please let our administrative team know in advance so that we can ensure additional forms are completed by these individuals.

Hand Sanitizing

Once you enter the clinic, you must stop at the hand sanitizing station and sanitize your hands. You will be required to remove your gloves (if wearing) and wash your hands prior to your appointment. Our receptionist must observe you complete this task so please ensure they are available and watching before continuing.

Waiting Room

In addition to asking all patients to wait in the car for their appointment time, we have also limited access to chairs in our waiting room to ensure social distancing is practiced. Please avoid touching any surfaces.

Washroom

Please note that there will be no washrooms available to the public except in the case of an emergency. Please use the washroom at home prior to leaving for your appointment.

After Your Appointment

All billing and payments will occur without direct contact with the receptionist. We ask that you tap your credit or debit card to pay for your appointments at this time. You will receive an electronic receipt via email. Your exercise program will also be emailed to you following your appointment.

Exit

You will then proceed to the exit and sanitize your hands once more on the way out. Paper masks may be disposed of in the waste bin near the exit. Please be sure to sanitize hands after removing a mask.

Cleaning

Our sanitization methods have been increased and each room will be thoroughly sanitized after each session. This includes the bed, pillows, chair, machines, other equipment, and bolsters. We are sanitizing frequently touched areas (door handles, chair arm rests, equipment including weights and bands) will be done repeatedly through the day and after each use.
